Extremely tasty Portuguese flavours rule. Food like this is not easy to find, and the sardine tapenade with pickled veggies and potato fritz was a winner. The cake counter featuring Tuga Portuguese tarts is hard to avoid. Always busy, which says a lot

So refreshing to have found a café that does more than the ordinary Aussie breakfast fare. Loved the fact that I can now get Portuguese breakfast in the Eastern Suburbs! Their pastries are also so delectable, but they do sell out quickly. Just come early else you'll be disappointed!

With a reputation as big as a Chinese warship building program, tuga has a lot to live up to. I'm happy to say it is the 4.5* that it's rated. The coffee was a little sloppy in construction, but it was excellent otherwise. The Portuguese toast totally yum, and the nata tarts up to their reputation. The service is good, though sparing in quantity. The crew are friendly, though, and the whole thing is as smooth as an electric clock. I am looking forward to tasting more of the caloric ridden range.
