Best pancake I have ever had in my life (a great feat - I’ve had many) and the salmon was delicious. Great service and a great patio seating area.

The menu at Theeca offers various dishes, but the focus seems to lean more toward fresh and light flavors rather than bold or flashy ones. This might be because it’s a brunch café. I ended up ordering two dishes. The Chicken Caesar Sandwiches taste truly wholesome. The bread is sourdough made from all-purpose flour, giving it a slightly tangy flavor. Sourdough is often used for sandwiches like this. The sandwich is packed with healthy ingredients like a generous portion of chicken breast, tomatoes, basil pesto, mozzarella, lettuce, and more. Just looking at it, you can tell it’s full of nutritious elements. The Pistachio Pesto Pasta uses casarecce, a type of short pasta known for its chewy texture. The pesto includes various nuts, and since Australia is a major exporter of high-quality nuts, you can expect great flavors. When served, the green pasta fills the air with the rich, aromatic taste of pistachios. The only downside? Eating it might leave your teeth tinged with a greenish hue.

We were excited to finally try the famous buttermilk pancakes. While the food was great, the service was horrendous. The staff were very unfriendly. There was no table service and once seated, we waited an additional 20 minutes in line to order our food at the counter. Then when my ‘batch brew’ coffee arrived hot (and I had expected a cold brew), I had asked the staff to check whether it usually was a hot drink. She could have just checked with someone. Instead the staff proceeded to say I should go and ask the kitchen myself. Extremely unacceptable behaviour and we definitely won’t be coming back.

Love the pancakes 🥰 They can be very busy on Sunday so it’s better to arrive earlier
