Black Star Pastry Newtown

Located at 1/325 King Street, Newtown, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 I originally came here for the signature Strawberry Watermelon Cake and it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved 🥰 it! Over my repeated visits to sample a lot more of the cakes and pastries and I have loved them all. From the Pistachio Cake, Mango Yuzu Cake, Lime Forest Cake, Dragon Fruit Cake - they are all phenomenal. Even the delicious croissants. The staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to help in any way. I would like more tables and chairs, not just the high chairs near the windows. Not great for short people like me. Hard to get into. The cakes, I feel are quite expensive but the taste made up for that. I come here, whenever I make it to Newtown and I always look forward to it. Would definitely recommend. Very Delicious coffee. They use St Ali brand. They’re know for their watermelon cake. Must try! Conveniently located next to Newtown court.
